What Love Is (To Me)

Love is sunflowers;
bright yellow petals
interwoven with golden shimmer
no wonder why it’s so warm.

Love is a humble wind;
painted transparently
between the bushes of kindness and care
no wonder why we miss out on it sometimes.

Love is a still river to us;
misleading, but always moving
secretly, slowly, perennially
no wonder why it transcends all boundaries.

Love is that one more light;
when all else fades
Love is pointing to the stars;
when all else fails
no wonder why it is within and also without.
